What's it all
about?
"Fair trade is a
strange new system whereby the money you pay for a product actually
goes to the
people who produce it" - Angus Deayton.
Traidcraft is a
Christian response to fight poverty through fair trade. Traidcraft plc help
craftworkers and farmers across Africa, Asia and Latin America build a
better future for themselves, their families and their communities. They
also show that it's possible to run
a good business
without exploiting people.
Traidcraft work with
local people to help them trade nationally and internationally.
Producers often
lack the knowledge
and skills to access markets, so Traidcraft provides information, training and
consultancy -
practical support which makes a real difference.
We at St. Paul's
support fair trade by selling a range of Traidcraft and other fairly traded
goods on a stall in the Parish Centre foyer. We are also a Fair Trade
Church, using fair trade tea, coffee, sugar, etc. in our kitchen.
Why not have a look
at the large selection of goods on offer and change someone's life for the
better :-
