PCC News - October 2007

The PCC met on 10th October when the following matters were discussed:-

Parish Share - Paul and Jo attended Deanery meeting, when it was agreed we would pay £36,000 for 2008. A formula would be agreed for 2009 to make parish shares fairer.

Reordering - Council for Care of Churches reps to make another visit prior to reporting to Chancellor, causing further delays. WREN rep had visited and required further information for grant funding.

Finance - Regular giving slightly down, tax refund applied for.

Social & Pastoral Management Group - Mix up with dates for skittle evening - now cancelled. Harvest supper and entertainment in hand. Patronal lunch to be arranged and quiz night 19th January.

Worship & Spirituality Management Group - No meeting.

Buildings & Finance Management Group - Meeting to further WREN application.

Mission & Outreach Management Group - Rep from Rank Organisation to visit to advise further on application for grant for Youth Worker.

Carol Festival - Invitation to take part issued to local schools, organisations and individuals.

Bazaar - Draw tickets ordered, list of stalls to be posted.

CCTV Cameras - Application made for grant to extend existing system, which had been successful in capturing images of lead thieves.
