PCC News - November 2007

The PCC met on 14th November when the following matters were discussed:-

Reordering - Council for Care of Churches reps had visited and supported proposals with the exception of the screening of the chancel, which they considered would detract from the east window. The Georgian Group and the Historical Churches Society had also mentioned this and the PCC agreed to withdraw this from the faculty application, in the hope of obtaining an early decision from the Chancellor.

Youth Worker - Rank application completed and submitted.

Social & Pastoral Management Group - No meeting, but date of bingo changed to 1st December. Patronal lunch booked for 27th January with limit of 80 places. Carol Festival 8th December - 14 responses to date.

Worship & Spirituality Management Group - A report on services arranged at different churches. Baptisms could be an area to concentrate on. Quite day arranged for January.

Buildings & Finance Management Group - WREN application completed and submitted. New notice boards in hand. Contingency fund for replacement items in Parish Centre discussed.

Mission & Outreach Management Group - SPOGs numbers causing concern and older Pilots would be encouraged to move up.

AOB - Alarm system to be updated

Refurbishment of George Eliot plaque - quote received to be passed to George Eliot Society.

62 Bibles purchased for new intake at St. Paul's School.

Key holder list to be revised.
