PCC News - June 2010

The PCC met 9 June, when the following items were discussed:

Christian Aid Week - An excellent result over £4000 raised

Finance: Envelope collection down slightly on last year. Wedding, funeral and baptism income up, expenses remain stable. Gas bill awaited.

Management Groups:

Buildings and Finance - Paul had checked electrical situation and a valid certificate had been issued to 2014. Loft space temperature to be monitored and lagging left in abeyance. Second quote received for projection system, third company to visit shortly. Jane had taken over cleaning responsibilities but rotas still operating. A dodo rail had been suggested for internal walls, to give a point to paint from. This would be considered at next meeting. Wiring may be moved with installation of projection system.

Pastoral and Social - No meeting but August trip arranged.

Worship and Spirituality: Meeting held to discuss remit and ideas put forward for Autumn/Christmas services.

Mission and Outreach: No meeting

Youth Worker's Management Group: St. Paul's youth project up and running with two regular meetings each week.

Deanery Synod: Discussed churches working together, Shoebox appeal and theft of lead from roofs.

Eco-congregation - meeting had taken place and action plan being drawn up.

Church yard clean up suggested after Sunday service - date to be confirmed.
