PCC News - July 2007

The PCC met on 2nd July when the following matters were discussed:-

Peter Rogers, lay Chair of the Deanery Synod, attended the meeting to discuss allocation of parish shares within the Deanery. A meeting with representatives of each parish was to be held on 22nd September to try to establish a fair formula for allocation of parish share.

Reordering - Still awaiting decision from Chancellor. As no faculty was available, Lottery funding was no longer available.

Finance - Capital reinvested pending decision on faculty. Tax rebate on Gift Aid applied for. Ethical utility providers to be researched and low energy light bulbs fitted where possible.

Social & Pastoral Management Group - Meeting shortly to discuss Harvest supper, skittles evening, etc.

Worship & Spirituality Management Group - Ansley Church had initiated a 4.30pm family service after consultation, and this was proving popular.

Buildings & Finance Management Group - CCTV cameras in situ. Meeting to further WREN application.

Mission & Outreach Management Group - Rank Organisation funding application passed first stage, a meeting with representative to take place in October. Holiday Club families to be invited to Harvest family service. Holiday Club style family service received with very positive response. Back to Church Sunday 30th September - personal invitation to be issued.
