PCC News - January 2009

The PCC met on January 14th, when the following matters were discussed:-

Reordering - Groups now using Church Hall were happy with arrangements. A few minor problems to be ironed out e.g. coat hooks for Rainbows and Brownies. The screens could be used in many ways, but sight from creche to altar necessary during services. Monday group would stain new staircases in due course. Thanks to group for providing fixings for cross and churchwardens' staffs.

Finance - Reports circulated. Envelope giving up slightly, gift aid down. Insurance and parish share to be paid.

Worship & Spirituality Group - To hold meeting shortly

Mission & Outreach Group - To hold meeting shortly

Pastoral & Social Group - To hold meeting shortly

Building & Finance Group - To hold meeting shortly

AOB - Discussion regarding resiting of font and pulpit. No decision until permanent organ is in place and space available can be reviewed. It may be necessary to purchase new items of furniture e.g. altar, lectern and font - to be purchased individually as and when funds available. Aumbry light to be replaced.

Sabbatical - Fr. Mick, John Law and Colin Udall have met together, and John and Colin were able to cover the main 10am Sunday services during Fr. Mick's absence. John would cover baptisms and weddings already booked. Other services would be reviewed as necessary. Other things covered by Fr. Mick were considered - weekly newsletter, magazine entries, etc.

AGM - March 8th - Fr. Mick's last service before sabbatical. New churchwarden to be elected, as Jo due to stand down.
